Hygienic, explosion-proof manhole – EXPSR-HYG

EXPSR-HYG is a hygienic, explosion- and impact-resistant stainless steel manhole, designed for sanitary processing plants with high standards for hygiene, safety, and user-friendly operation.

The manhole cover has been tested and certified to withstand explosion pressures of up to 0.6 barg in accordance with EN 14460. It is available with an inner diameter of Ø200 mm or Ø450 mm and is intended exclusively for top mounting.

Ergonomic opening and closing

The specially designed hinge mechanism automatically supports the weight of the cover. This makes opening and closing easier and more controlled, while reducing the physical strain on the operator.

Increased safety for the operator

The controlled opening mechanism improves safety during operation, inspection, and maintenance. The design minimizes the need for heavy lifting, thereby reducing the risk of workplace injuries.

Fast and effective cleaning

The manhole is mechanically assembled around a single central screw. When the screw is loosened during a production shutdown or during CIP cleaning, the assembly can be quickly disassembled. This provides easy access and makes cleaning more efficient.

Easy adjustment and reliable sealing

An oval adjustment screw makes it easy to precisely adjust the hinge. Proper mechanical adjustment ensures smooth operation, proper closure, and a consistent seal. This reduces the risk of leaks and unintended production stoppages.

Certified resistance to blast impacts

The manhole has been tested and certified to withstand explosion pressures of up to 0.6 barg in accordance with EN 14460.

Sizes and Installation

Available sizes: Ø200 mm, Ø450 mm, and 600 mm.

Installation: The EXPSR-HYG without a hinge is intended exclusively for top mounting. If you wish to mount it on the side, we recommend using a hinge.
