Standard tank connectors available today are often manufactured according to ASME standards, while the clamps most commonly used in Europe are typically DIN or SMS. ASME, DIN, and SMS are not 100% geometrically compatible, which means that using an ASME tank connector with a DIN or SMS clamp leaves an internal edge where impurities can accumulate. Our CS-Connector is manufactured and stocked specifically for ASME, DIN, and SMS standards, ensuring identical internal diameters between the connector and piping system — guaranteeing a 100% hygienic design.

Drain hole with QuickLeak detection: The traditional tank connector has four “grooves” that make the top of the clamp drainable. Our CS-Connector includes a drain hole that covers both the top of the clamp and the joint itself. This ensures complete drainability and direct leak detection, increasing reliability and enabling faster troubleshooting during operation.

Simple, intuitive
installation
When welding the traditional tank connector, the welder must measure the distance between the bolts to align all locking rings in the same position. Our CS-Connector only needs to be oriented with the drain hole facing downwards, making it easy to weld correctly and consistently.

In addition to EN10204 3.1 material certificates, the CS-Connector is supplied with a component certificate for EN13445 and PED 2014/68/EC. TÜV approval of the design can be downloaded from our website. The TÜV approval can be included directly in the tank manufacturer’s design documentation, eliminating the need for separate calculations for the CS-Connector.

The stocked tank connectors are typically supplied in ASME materials. The CS-Connector is generally supplied in EN materials, meaning the tank manufacturer does not need to prepare a PMA (Particular Material Appraisal) when the tank is CE marked according to PED 2014/68/EU.
