10 POWERFUL
BENEFITS OF

CS-Connector from
Leopold Parts

CS-Connector with a hygienic design made of stainless steel

100%
hygienic design

Standard tank connectors available today are often manufactured according to ASME standards, while the clamps most commonly used in Europe are typically DIN or SMS. ASME, DIN, and SMS are not 100% geometrically compatible, which means that using an ASME tank connector with a DIN or SMS clamp leaves an internal edge where impurities can accumulate. Our CS-Connector is manufactured and stocked specifically for ASME, DIN, and SMS standards, ensuring identical internal diameters between the connector and piping system — guaranteeing a 100% hygienic design.

Stainless steel CS-Connector with pressure rating PN16

, higher pressure class

The traditional tank connector is only approved for PN7, while many tanks are designed for pressures above 7 barg. Our CS-Connector is approved for PN16 (16 barg).

QuickLeak Detection on Sanitary CS-Connector

Drain hole with
QuickLeak detection

Drain hole with QuickLeak detection: The traditional tank connector has four “grooves” that make the top of the clamp drainable. Our CS-Connector includes a drain hole that covers both the top of the clamp and the joint itself. This ensures complete drainability and direct leak detection, increasing reliability and enabling faster troubleshooting during operation.

Stable CS Connector during welding into a stainless steel tank

Stability of
during welding

Standard tank connectors available today are often manufactured according to ASME standards, while the clamps most commonly used in Europe are typically DIN or SMS. ASME, DIN, and SMS are not 100% geometrically compatible, which means that using an ASME tank connector with a DIN or SMS clamp leaves an internal edge where impurities can accumulate. Our CS-Connector is manufactured and stocked specifically for ASME, DIN, and SMS standards, ensuring identical internal diameters between the connector and piping system — guaranteeing a 100% hygienic design.

Easy Installation of the CS-Connector Plumbing Fitting

Simple and intuitive
installation

When welding the traditional tank connector, the welder must measure the distance between the bolts to align all locking rings in the same position. Our CS-Connector only needs to be oriented with the drain hole facing downwards, making it easy to weld correctly and consistently.

Documentation for the CS-Connector and Stainless Steel Tank Connection

Transparent
quality documentation

In addition to EN10204 3.1 material certificates, the CS-Connector is supplied with a component certificate for EN13445 and PED 2014/68/EC. TÜV approval of the design can be downloaded from our website. The TÜV approval can be included directly in the tank manufacturer’s design documentation, eliminating the need for separate calculations for the CS-Connector.

High-Quality Materials at

The stocked tank connectors are typically supplied in ASME materials. The CS-Connector is generally supplied in EN materials, meaning the tank manufacturer does not need to prepare a PMA (Particular Material Appraisal) when the tank is CE marked according to PED 2014/68/EU.

Online availability,
, and customization

The CS-Connector will be available for purchase through an online webshop providing an overview of the different models, including compatible gaskets and clamps. You can also order the CS-Connector in various heights, materials, and customized versions for different radii and angles.

Reliable
delivery time

Current delivery times for tank connectors can range from 2 to 8 weeks. We strive to keep common sizes and materials in stock and maintain flexible production and delivery to avoid unnecessary lead times.

Competitive Price for the "

CS-Connector – Stainless Steel Sanitary Tank Connector

Learn more about the CS-Connector, clamp adapter, and sanitary flanges

CS-Connector is an abbreviation for Clean Seal Connector. It is Leopold Parts’ sanitary tank connector, clamp adapter, and weld-in flange for stainless steel tanks, piping systems, and process equipment. The product can also be described as a sanitary clamp flange or sanitary flange/adapter, depending on the application and the selected standard. The solution is designed for the food, pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, and process industries, where hygiene, documentation, and stability during welding are critical.

The product line includes stainless steel flanges and tank connectors in ASME, DIN, ISO, and SMS sizes. They can be used with compatible clamps and Tri-Clamp fittings when the standard and size match the rest of the piping system. This means that the same product family can meet the need for a stainless steel clamp adapter or sanitary flange in various process installations.

Alternative to the NovAseptic Connector and NAC Connector

If you are looking for an alternative to a NovAseptic Connector—also known as a NAC Connector—the CS-Connector may be worth considering for new installations or when selecting a sanitary tank connection. The CS-Connector is Leopold Parts’ proprietary solution and is available in several standards and sizes, allowing you to select the right one based on your piping system, tank, and process requirements.

  • Hygienic, smooth transition between the connector and the tubing system
  • Stainless Steel Weld-On Flanges for Tanks and Process Equipment
  • Models for ASME, DIN, ISO, and SMS standards
  • Pressure Class PN16
  • QuickLeak detection, which makes any leaks visible
  • Sturdy construction that reduces deformation during welding
  • Materials and Component Documentation
  • Ability to adjust for radius, angle, and height

EHEDG Flange for Hygienic Process Systems

For installations with particularly high hygiene requirements, Leopold Parts also offers EHEDG-certified CS-Connectors. An EHEDG flange is suitable for facilities where easy-to-clean design, effective CIP cleaning, and documented process hygiene are top priorities.

The choice of connector should always be based on the specific standard, dimension, pressure class, and installation. See CS Connectors in the online store, or contact Leopold Parts for help finding the right sanitary flange.
