Description
EHEDG-Approved Hygienic Design
Our EHEDG-approved Clean Seal Connector is designed for installations with high standards for hygiene, ease of cleaning, and food safety.
The connector’s design has been tested and approved in accordance with EHEDG’s guidelines for hygienic design. It ensures a smooth, easy-to-clean transition between the connector and the piping system, without any unhygienic edges or areas where product residues and microorganisms can accumulate.
The connector is manufactured and stocked specifically to meet DIN and SMS standards. This allows the connector’s inner diameter to be adapted to the piping system, ensuring a uniform and hygienic product path.
STABILITY DURING WELDING
Traditional tank connectors have four grooves, which create weak points in the structure. During welding, heat is applied, and the grooves can cause the connector to shrink and become warped.
After welding, time is therefore often spent straightening the connector, without necessarily being able to fully restore its original straightness.
Our EHEDG-approved Clean Seal Connector is designed to remain stable during the welding process. This increases the strength and reliability of the structure while reducing fabrication time, as the connector typically does not require subsequent straightening.
TRANSPARENT QUALITY DOCUMENTATION
The EHEDG-approved Clean Seal Connector comes with an EN 10204 3.1 material certificate as well as a component certificate in accordance with EN 13445 and PED 2014/68/EU.
Documentation regarding the EHEDG and TÜV design approvals is available on our website.
The tank manufacturer can include the TÜV approval directly in its design documentation and therefore does not need to perform separate strength calculations for the connector.
EASY AND INTUITIVE INSTALLATION
When welding in a traditional tank connector, the welder must measure the distance between the bolts to ensure that all connectors are installed with the locking ring in the correct, vertical position.
Our EHEDG-approved Clean Seal Connector simply needs to be positioned with the drain hole facing down. This makes it quick and intuitive to orient the connector correctly and consistently during the welding process.
DRAIN HOLE WITH QUICK LEAK DETECTION
The integrated drainage solution ensures effective drainage around both the top of the clamp and the joint itself.
The drain hole also serves as a leak indicator, so that any leak becomes visible quickly. This increases operational reliability and makes troubleshooting and maintenance easier.
HIGHER PRESSURE CLASS
Traditional tank connectors are typically approved only for PN7, even though many tanks have a design pressure of more than 7 barg.
Our EHEDG-approved Clean Seal Connector is approved for PN16—corresponding to a maximum allowable pressure of 16 barg. It is therefore well-suited for installations with higher requirements for both pressure resistance and hygienic safety.
